MICHAEL METCALF, son of MICHAEL METCALF and SARAH ELWYN
MARY FAIRBANKS, daughter of JONATHAN FAIRBANKS and GRACE UNKNOWN
Michael, the son of Michael and Sarah Metcalf, was born on 29 August 1620 in St. Benedict's, Norwich, England. [LMH] He died on 24 December 1654 in Dedham. [LMH] He married Mary Fairbanks on 2 April 1644 in Dedham. [LMH]
Children of Michael Metcalf and Mary Fairbanks:
i. Michael Metcalf was born on 21 (12) 1644 in Boston. He died on 1 or 2 September 1693. He married Elizabeth Fuller.
ii. Mary Metcalf was born on 15 August 1646. [LMH] She died on 22 March 1676/7 in Dedham. [EFWG] She married Captain John Ware on 10 December 1668 in Dedham. [LMH][EFWG] John was the son of Robert and Margaret (Hunting) Ware and the grandson of John Hunting, the first ruling elder of the Dedham church. [EFWG] John was born on 6 October 1646 in Dedham and died on 7 April 1718 in Wrentham. [EFWG] He married second Joanna Gay on 24 March 1678/9. [EFWG] Joanna was the daughter of John and Joanna Gay of Dedham and the widow of Nathaniel Whiting, Jr. [EFWG] John married third Dorothy, the widow of Nicolas Wood of Sherborn, on 21 December 1709 in Sherborn. [EFWG] Dorothy, the widow of Captain John Ware, died on 10 December 1728 in Sherborn. [EFWG]
iii. Sarah Metcalf was born on 7 December 1648. [LMH] She married Robert Ware of Wrentham on 4 June 1677. [LMH]
iv. Jonathan Metcalf was born on 21 September 1650. [LMH] He died on 27 May 1727. [LMH] He married Hannah Kenric on 10 April 1674. [LMH] She died on 23 December 1731. [LMH]
v. Deacon Eleazer Metcalf was born on 20 March 1684. [LMH]
Eleazer was a deacon at Wrentham. [LMH]
